Let it SNOW!!

Owen's first snowman!

Merry Christmas!
Josie's 1st Christmas - Owen's 3rd

On Christmas Eve, Eric's parents came down from Maine with his brother Jimmy and his girlfriend Lacey.  Jimmy and Lacey came all the way from Montana to be with us for the holiday!  It was great seeing them and having them here to celebrate Christmas with us!  Christmas Eve was a chill day of just hanging out and by nightfall the traditional game of LIFE was played - using the iPad!  On Christmas day we did what was expected - open gifts!  Owen had a great time opening his presents and was pretty pleased with what he opened!  I think the highlight gift for him was the Patriots helmet!  After spending a great morning with the Walkers, they went on their way and we headed to Groton to see Grandma and Pa.  There were more presents waiting for him there - and he dug right in!  Uncle Steve gave him a HotWheels track that seemed to be a big hit.  It was a long day, but a very good one at that.  Owen and Josie got to spend it with his Grammie and Grampy, and Grandma and Pa.  I would say that's pretty lucky.

HELLO SANTA!!

Christmas isn't complete without a picture with Santa!  Santa had his hands full this year - holding Josie in one arm, and Owen in the other, all while bouncing Owen on his knee to make him smile!  I'd say Santa did a pretty good job because we got yet another great "Santa photo"!  These are the pictures I took with my camera...the one that we paid for was the "money" shot of Owen smiling!

Butterball has arrived!
Josephine Ann Walker

On December 7th at 8:03am we welcomed into the world Miss Josephine Ann Walker.  She weighed 8lbs. 15oz. and was 20.5 inches long.  After being a week overdue, and all the things going on with moving to Maine and the Holidays approaching, I thought it was for the best to have another c-section.  I did not want to get induced again because I really wanted to go on my own. If I were to be induced, the chance of me having another c-section after labor would have been at 50%.  If I were to go on my own, the chance of having her natural would have been 75%.  After talking to my doctor, who let me know what my options were, I came to the conclusion of having the c-section.  So, with all that said, here she is!  She is perfect and fits into our family quite nicely!  Owen came to see us in the hospital each day we were there.  It might have been a little weird for him at first, but once we got Josie home, it was like nothing ever changed.  He has taken to his new sibling very well, and we could not have asked him to be any better about it!  One of his phrases is, "baby Josie, hold it?"  Usually him holding her only lasts a few seconds, but one day he held her for quite some time and I was able to get some good shots of the two of them.  We are all adjusting very well and are enjoying the end of this crazy year of 2012 together!

Christmas Parade
Manchester NH

December 1st

On Saturday afternoon we headed to the Christmas Parade in downtown Manchester in upper 20 degree weather.  Owen refused to wear his mittens, but he was still pretty warm and happy throughout the whole parade.  He collected a bunch of Dum-Dum lollipops as well as mini candy canes.  We saw the Grinch, some clowns, a couple of Nativity scenes, the usual parade stuff and at the end there was Santa, sitting right on top a fire engine!  Eric got a good laugh about seeing THREE sets of Ghostbusters - because, ya know, nothing says "Merry Chistmas" like a few ghost fighting dudes!  There was even a bunch of superheroes and what seemed like the whole cast of Star Wars. I guess I was hoping to see more Christmassy floats, but all in all it was a good time.  We ended the night at Planet Marshmallow where Eric and I made our own s'mores at the table - yum!
