Build-A-Bear
A bear for baby sister
Today we took Owen to the mall to Build-A-Bear where he could make a bear for his baby sister (who we hope will arrive any time now!) Since it turned out be a little snowy day, I had chosen the pink bear with snowflakes for Owen to build. Plus, it's now a definite that Butterball will be born in December - and who doesn't think of snowflakes when you think of December? We chose a little voice box to add to the bear so when you press it's hand it will say 1 of 6 different phrases. We then went over to fill the bear where Eric and Owen stepped on the pedal to fill the bear with stuffing. Owen then picked out a heart for the bear, but before he put it in the bear, he rubbed it in his hands, rubbed it on his belly, and gave it a special kiss! After the bear was made, we gave it a bath which consisted of an air shower and some brushing. After it was all "clean" I chose a sweater and knit hat outfit for her, and Eric got to go on the computer and type up her birth certificate. Her name is Snowflake. If you read the Birth Certificate, you can see that the bear belongs to "Baby Sister" - we still haven't chosen a name for her yet! But the cutest part is that it reads "Stuffed with love by Owen."
Awww!! That is the cutest thing ever!! What a great idea to do with Owen to get him ready for his little sister!!! LOVE IT!!!
